WINE 101: Wine FUNdamentals


Do you read Wine for Dummies late at night off in a dark corner? Do you want to try Merlot, but you're afraid to ask? If so, this seminar is for you! Join us at Sun Singer as we de-mystify the world of wine.

Wine 101 will introduce you to the everyday pleasures of wine. We'll be covering basic wine varieties and their characteristics, along with how to taste and talk about wine. We'll cover some of the basic wine terminology and flavor components of wine. We'll also talk about 'when wine goes bad.' After this introduction you'll feel more comfortable with the 'language' of wine, ordering wine in a restaurant and how to explain what you want from a wine when choosing one in the store. With any luck you'll be on the road to a lifetime of enjoyment in a world of wine!

THE FINE PRINT

We do request reservations in advance. For reservations or questions, please call at 351-1115.

• Minimum class size will be 10 participants.
• Please be on time for class, classes will begin at the stated time, and if you are late you will be issued a detention.
• Wait lists will be available for every class.
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the class. A credit will be issued which may be used toward a future class. Credits expire after one year.
• Students must be at least 21 years of age in order to attend any class. Sun Singer reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone who is unable to produce valid identification.
• Sun Singer reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone who appears intoxicated.
